Welcome to Rule 10 from Jordan Peterson's book 12 Rules for Life.
This rule - Be precise in your speech focuses us on clarity.  Not just in our speech but in our lives.  If we can speak clearly, we can act clearly with intent and purpose.
I really enjoyed studying this rule and have felt quite challenged trying to execute it on a daily basis.
I hope you enjoy the podcast - Rule #10 Be precise in your speech.
Thanks for listening,
Tiffany

Are you ready to write your book? Here's what you need to know to get started.
This series of 3 podcasts will take you through the basic steps in writing your book. Authors Tamara Merrill (https://tamaramerrill.com/) and Jerry Stravey (https://jrstrayvejr.com/) joined me to provide the very basic steps for those of you who are tempted to write your first book.
Please remember to subscribe to the channel so you'll receive updates and notifications when the next episodes are released.
This is the first podcast in a series of 3.
In the second, we'll discuss the actual process of writing. What Jerry and Tamara do to get words on the page (they work very differently), how they go to publication, and the decisions they must make along the way.
Podcast #3 is all about marketing your book. This series was designed as a way to introduce new writers to what it takes to write a book.
We hope you enjoy the series! Thanks for stopping by,
T.

Why are we bad listeners? Because listening might change the way we think, and change is scary.
Join me for a discussion of Jordan Peterson's Rule #9 - Assume the person you are listening to might know something you don't.

We're all liars - YIKES that's tough to write and even more difficult to admit on an individual level.
Rule #8 in Jordan Peterson's 12 Rules for Life, Tell the truth or at least don't lie - forces us to take an inventory of ourselves and the Gods or masters we serve. I've got a knot in my stomach just writing this.
For this rule I was joined by my long time friend Georgia Spiropoulos. It's a tough topic and I'm sure you'll find it interesting and challenging.
Join me over on my blog - LifeInTheWick.com for more information and a video presentation of this podcast.
Thanks so much for listening.
Please leave a comment and let me know your thoughts!
See you next week,
T.

How do you add meaning to your life?
In this video/podcast we discuss Rule #7 Pursue what is meaningful, not what it expedient.
The main theme explored in this discussion is the idea that you must set your course in order to give meaning to your life.

Helping our children - and maybe our friends, family, pets and spouses - be more successful is part of truly caring about them.
In this episode, Debby Wilkerson and I discuss Jordan Peterson's Rule #5 - Don't let your children do things that make you dislike them.
Join us for a short conversation about the rule, why we might be afraid to apply it and finally, how to apply it.
In a world where social media and wanting people to like us can cloud our judgement - this is a rule worth following.
If you prefer to watch a video version of this discussion, there is one posted on my website - www.LifeInTheWick.com.
Thanks for listening,
Tiffany

An exploration of Jordan Peterson's Rule #4 from his book 12 Rules for Life.
Join Tiffany Spaulding and special guest Shawna Zoltay as they discuss comparing yourself to who you were yesterday, not to who someone else is today.
This rule is truly impactful, especially with today's social media focus. Everyone appears to have a "Pinterest Perfect" life. How can you compare yourself to that? The short answer is, you can't and you shouldn't.
In this chapter we'll chat about bringing the focus and responsibility for changing your life back to yourself.
Visit Tiffany's blog, www.LifeInTheWick.com to learn more about this chapter and download the chapter worksheet.

How can you make friends with people who want the best for you?
How do you decide if you need more friends or BETTER friends?
Join Tiffany Spaulding and her friend Kate as they discuss Rule #3 - Make friends with people who want the best for you.
If you've read Jordan Peterson's book 12 Rules for life you know that he has based his 12 rules on examples from culture, science, religion, psychology and more. The  book is a must read for anyone who wants to move forward in life.
While we do discuss the rule, our focus in this podcast is mainly to discuss "HOW" to apply the rule.
If you're interested in improving your life, you can download the worksheet for Rule #3 on my website - Life in the Wick.  Here's a link.
Thanks for listening,
